I am planning to own a digital camera. After a second thought, is it wise to buy a good quality cell phone with good camera inbuilt or should I get a separate digital camera. the purpose is to capture precious moments of my todler. thanx.

i wouldnt trust precious once in a lifetime pictures to any camera phone…none of them have optical zoom and pic quality is still inferior to even the cheapest entry level camera. as long as your kid is not running around and your majority of pics will be stills…get a camera such as the inexpensive canon a590is and leave your cellphone to making calls and taking "caught on cam" emergency pics.

i am in college and took a script writing class and thought of a really unique idea so me and a few friends are going to start filming and posting are episodes online. i realize that having a studio camera would be the best but i cant afford that. What would be the best available camera for around 1000 dollars or less? i would love an external mic and HD. Im new to video cameras so any advice would help. thanks.

I last purchased kitstar products in the early 80’s.
The camera filters were availible in square and round configurations. They resemble the coken filter line.

Kitstar is a trademark used by a company that markets camera accessories. It’s hard telling who manufactured said camera since Kitstar is basically just a marketer’s trade name. There’s not much info found on the net about Kitstar.

I’m purchasing a remote control for my boyfriends, Digital SLR Canon Rebel Camera. Looking online I’ve come across different models from Canon, and generic remotes that can be used for different makes of camera? If someone happens to have this camera or just knows about SLR’s in general, please give me an idea of what I need to get. I’m oping to purchase off ebay, it’s usually cheapest. Thanks.

Also, when filming a fight scene, I know I need to make quick cuts to create a sense of action. However, when actually filming such a scene, do I use one camera and film the scene from different angles or use two cameras and do it all in one…then tweak it in Final Cut Pro?

It depends on what you have access to. If you have multiple cameras, people to operate them, then by all means go for that route.

Most film productions especially with a smaller budget, will use one camera, and film the scene from different angles. Hopefully your actors will be good enough to reproduce the same results each time they shoot from a different angle.

I’m looking to buy a digital camera with at least 12MP, no less. I’ve been looking at the Kodak EasyShare V1233 and the Nikon Coolpix P5100. The kodak seems to be getting a lot of bad reviews on Google sites. What is your opinion?
no, i want my pictures to be crystal clear.

my opinion is 12mp point and shoots should be 8mp so the little sensors they have dont generate as much noise

EDIT: for sharp images you need a sharp lens, so look at lens quality first, megapixels only matter if you wish to crop your images alot or do big prints.

dont get conned into more megapixels means better pictures….if the lens is soft you will just get more mega pixels of softness……

I went to a Taylor Swift concert and I took pictures with my camera, which is just a plane simple digital camera, and they didn’t turn out that great. Well if your want to just get a digitcal compact camera i would suggest panasonic lumix dmc sz3 which is around $290 on amazon. It has a 12X optical zoom which is good for a smaller camera. I take it to concerts all the time and get pretty good shots.
