Does HD video on a regular digital camera compare to a Flip camera?

Wednesday, April 28th, 2010

I don’t want to lug around a still camera and a pocket HD video camera. Is the video recording on the new digital point & shoots comparable to the Flip and it’s competitors, or is a dedicated video camera better?

the video quality of most digital point and shoot cameras is about equivilent to the quality of the flip video. it may be even better if the digital camera will shoot HD Video (720 or 1080)
Neither of these will compare to the quality of the better traditional video camera’s which are available today.
Another thing you may want to consider is a Digital SLR which has HD Video shooting, such as the Canon T1i or T21 or the Nikon D5000.
These will take video that is superior to anything but professional HD video cameras, for a very reasonable price.
The user interface will take some getting used to, since the camera won’t auto focus while shooting, and the zoom function will be performed by rotating the zoom dial on the lens, but I can attest that the video quality is supurb.

How much am I looking at paying to repair my camera lens?

Wednesday, April 28th, 2010

It’s a retractable lens (I guess?? I’m not a camera person) but anywho, it was all the way out like I was about to take a picture and I accidentally dropped it on tile floor. Now that just made one of the levels of the retractable lens bend in a little, and it’s done that before and I’ve just popped it back into place (which I’m sure i not the best idea but thats how I learn) so I attempt to pop it back into place and it totally goes way inside and the par t ( I guess the shutter that opens and closes when you turn it on and off) just broke off…all of it still works but when I try to turn it on the lens tries to come out but it can’t cause it’s stuck inside. So anyway…I haven’t messed with it anymore cause apparently I can’t fix it but I was wondering how much the repair of this would cost. It’s a Canon digital camera if that matters. If this doesn’t make sense just e-mail any questions. Thanks for your help.

Unfortunately it will likely cost more to repair than to replace. Even if its under warranty, abuse such as dropping isn’t covered. You may as well begin shopping for its replacement.
Since you didn’t say what model Canon you have I’m guessing its a digicam. Check the Sept. 2007 issue of Shutterbug magazine for a review of five 10 megapixel digicams. You can also access it at shutterbug.com.

When you get your new camera, secure it around your neck with a good neck strap. In 36 years I’ve yet to drop a camera. My camera is either in my camera bag or hanging around my neck.

Aware as Awareness – is this Meta Physics?

Sunday, April 25th, 2010

I am the manifestation of a camera lens within this world. And I have always as the manifestation of me been aware of my structured constructed design. Alone in and as a fitting of a camera lens. You know the cameras? And its been quite a interesting manifested experience of me as being a camera lens. All compacted particles manifested into such a perfection. To be in the manifestation that I am as a camera lens. And Ive had quite a interesting experience of me, myself as a camera lens. Because imagine you think yourself to be something most of your existence. Myself as a camera lens, I am a camera lens and that is what I am. I did not choose to be it. I just am it. I was designed to be it. I was just put together and voila, there I am, a camera lens. Then I am positioned where I am positioned I did not choose to position myself there. I had no say, in anything. Then there I was positioned in a camera as a camera lens. Thats it. So I am a camera lens, serving my purpose. As according to which the design I was made within by man. And I did that, because that is what I was, that is what Ill do that is what I am. Its all I have believed myself to be, perceived myself to be. That is how I was designed to be, manifested to be just a camera lens. I didnt choose to be what I am, I didnt choose to be in the position that I am, didnt choose to be in the manifestation that I am. I have just been that which I was and am at this very moment which is a camera lens. So imagine that then all of a sudden you realize that you are able to be aware of yourself. I do not know how to exactly place the experience of me in becoming aware of myself into words. Its, am I. The first movement inside me was but am I allowed to? Can I be because here I am as a camera lens I was just put together, designed, manifested into this way, placed into a camera as a camera lens to serve man as the entirety of the camera. Thats it. Is there anything else then? That was the question. Is there anything else? Then I realized there is a me. But what is this me? That is starting to experience me and becoming aware of me. What is an awareness? An awareness is that first experience of yourself which is you and you its you its fascinating. You just know its you and. Because I have just always been this manifestation that is all, stayed in my place, thats it. Now I am moving as me within me as the manifestation that I am. And I realized that I really am that which I accept and allow myself to perceive myself to be, and what I believe myself to be. I mean, if I say okay all I am now is this camera lens because I was made to be this. I was positioned in a place to be this. Manifested in the place to be this by man to serve his purpose. And thats all my existence consists of. Thats all I perceived me to be as being in awareness as a camera lens. But its not so. There is an I am as this camera lens. Which is amazing. Astounding.

Conversion Lenses for Cell Phone Cameras : DigInfo

Sunday, April 25th, 2010

http://movie.diginfo.tv DigInfo News

Today, cell phones equipped with 1 megapixel or higher digital cameras are everywhere, and taking pictures with a cell phone has become the norm. One convenient product that reinforces camera phone functions to satisfy customers wanting to take wider, larger, higher quality photos is a magnet mount conversion lens called the DIGITAL KING 180°FISHEYE from Toda Seiko Co., Ltd.
The new lens features an exclusive magnet mount system that uses a powerful magnet and a metal mount ring. The metal mount ring is attached to the perimeter of the cell phone’s camera lens and then a magnetic lens is mounted to that metal ring.
Each conversion lens features a glass lens and an aluminum body to ensure reliable performance and durability.
In addition to the Fisheye lens, the product lineup includes a 2.0X telephoto lens, a 0.5X wide-angle lens, a 0.38X super-wide angle lens, and a 4X macro lens. The angle of view can be changed by merely mounting any one of these conversion lenses to a cell phone’s camera lens. The magnet mount system uses a powerful magnet rated at 1800 Gauss, and if the lens is properly mounted, it will not fall off by itself. However, just in case, each lens comes with a strap that fastens the lens to the cell phone.
