All photos in my …
All photos in my Noctilux review are right out of camera but converted from RAW. The B&W ones were converted to B&W with SIlver Efex Pro but no photoshop work was done there. It’s all the lens. Thanks!

wow.. fantastic …
wow.. fantastic lens.
Just went to your web site and went through the review of this lens.. Man,,, I am loving it. I’ve only skimmed through your review (I will go through it later thoroughly) so sorry if this has been already answered but are the photos post processed in any way or are they straight out of the camera? I wish I had a M9 with this lens. I use a 5D2 and thinking of getting the 50 1.2 but I’m sure it doesn’t give results like this lens..

I agree, why leica …
I agree, why leica cameras are so expensive? the lenses of course no question the best in the world, but why the camera bodies are so expensive? there is no great science about a black box, is juat because they can hold a super awesome lens? for instance I like hasselblad lenses and bodies in a cheaper price, but obviously the picture is good if the photographer is good !

isn’t every single leica lens really good, even the cheapest (in leica land of course) 28mm f/2.8 elmarit?

well, for instance, …
well, for instance, a photo comparison of pictures made with both lenses could demonstrate how much faster the newer lens is in contrast to the older, slower one. just would drive the point home better is all. i guess it depends on what kind of video editing software you’re using.

Thanks for the info …
Thanks for the info,
I do agree about the CCD tech, CCD does render better colors than CMOS.
But the biggest price point I think is the prestige.
I read all about it and I think this has the presence like an old Rolls Royce among Honda and Toyota alike.
Once again thanks

The M9 is also the …
The M9 is also the most compact full frame digital available (along with the high IQ) and many photographers prefer the simple manual operation. I have used mine for concerts, theater, street, portraits, zoo, and even some action. The camera becomes an extension of your mind.
Give it a try sometime at a camera shop and you may like it.
But yes, they are expensive. Leica is a small company though and do not sell the volume of Canon or Nikon.

Hi!
To answer…
Their tech is not so good? Hmm, their 18MP CCD sensor beats out any digital camera in the 35MM format and =’s the D3x for image quality.
If it were a CMOS sensor I would not have bought it. The M9 files are gorgeous, rich, and with amazing depth. If you have a good lens on the camera (even the $800 Zeiss 35 2.8) the files can make your jaw drop.
This lens F.95 lens is a bit over the top and its price is due to it being the fastest lens in the world, very limited production.
