YouTube Unboxings and reviews CAMERA?

Sunday, December 4th, 2011

What camera do you think would be the best camera to use for an unboxing and review video. I already have a desk to put the product on, i already have the lighting, i have the tripod, and even a laptop to edit. Plus a couple mics to commentate the video.

Any camera would work. People are always looking for reviews on every camera or product so there really isn’t one that is better to review than another.

Reviews on the Nikon Coolpix L120 Camera?

Tuesday, October 11th, 2011

I’m interested in buying this camera, and was wondering if anyone has any reviews on it? Or any suggestions for similar cameras of about the same price? (around $270) All opinions are welcomed :) Thanks!

Personally I would NOT want this camera because it has NO manual controls – it looks nice, but is a VERY basic camera.
Without manual controls you are very VERY limited in what you can do, and very limited in how much you can learn from and grow with the camera. It also not possibly to attach a decent external flash, so all you’ll ever have is that very inadequate little thing on the camera.

If you’re happy to forever stay on Auto, take simple little snapshots and let the camera decide what to do, then you’ll probably be happy enough with it, especially if you intend to only take photos in excellent light conditions – they’ll turn out quite well then.

If you want to learn, improve and get creative, then this is not the right tool for you. You need something with more options and more controls.

I suggest you read a few reviews….. they don’t seem all that good for this camera.

My personal choice would be a Canon Powershot SX30IS, but it is more expensive.

Why are there hardly any customer reviews on the Fuji F550EXR camera?

Thursday, July 28th, 2011

I know they are only just coming into the shops, but I am surprised that we are not getting much feedback on reviews of this camera. Also, it seems that the smaller suppliers seem to stock them but major well known suppliers do not have them yet. I would like to buy one, but something does not seem quite right? Are the smaller suppliers saying they have stock, but really they dont have any yet?

Maybe it is due to this site, since Canon & Nikon are the most recommended cameras, I don’t honestly know. But Fuji Finepix cameras are excellent. And Fuji the company is even better.I have a Fuji FInepix S20 pro that is about 7 yrs old now. When it was 5 yrs old the LCD screen went white. I called Fuji and they instructed me to send in the camera. Naturally I requested an estimate just to be on the safe side. Long story short the camera was returned to me repaired and at no charge. So I can only surmise that the repair was covered under a defective part that did not surface right away. But the point is that Fuji stood behind their product. They could have easily told me the repair was to be a couple hundred bucks (as I paid $700 in the first place) and I would not have known the difference. Unlike a Sony product that Sony refused to even look at for being two weeks out of warranty, and I offered to pay for the repair by way of an estimate of course.
So in my opinion, the Fuji company deserves my patronage. Maybe a call to them can help more with your inquiry.

Camera Reviews anyone?

Sunday, April 24th, 2011

Hey, I’m looking to buy a camera that’s a little more high-tech than your average compact, but I have only around £200 to spend – meaning SLRs and DLSRs are most probably out.
I’ve been looking at the Fujifilm FinePix S2800HD, and similar Fujifilm ones, but some reviews say that the picture quality isn’t that good on them.
I’m an art student so looking for a good picture quality, as well as a good zoom so thought this might be the way to go.
Any comments/reviews/ideas are very welcome, thanks!

Hi!

I am using a canon IXUS 300 HS IS (also known as Canon IXY30S), which has 10.0 MP. It has only 3.8x Zoom, but takes excellent pictures.
you can also look into the canon IXUS 1000HS IS, which is a newer model, featuring 10x optical zoom.

also as mentioned above being an art student you will not be satisfied with a compact camera.
but canon IXUS range is a great way to start.

Security camera system reviews?

Friday, April 22nd, 2011

I am shopping an 8 camera security system with night vision and motion recording for a small retail business. I need excellent resolution to capture and record shoplifting and exterior vandalism. I have looked all over the web for system and camera reviews – CNET, Consumer Reports, Google and I can’t find objective reviews just sites selling product. Can anyone here make a suggestion? All systems cannot be equal.

Thanks for any advice.

Hey John

I went to http://searchreviews.com and looked up 5 star rated security cameras. You can see the whole list here: http://searchreviews.com/search.jsp?reviews=security+camera&rating=rating:[5+TO+*]

It looks like you have some good options — lots of reviews

Why is it so hard to find reviews of the Panasonic Lumix DMC FP2 digital camera?

Wednesday, April 20th, 2011

Best Buy is selling this camera, and their own website has positive reviews. But I can’t seem to find any substantial review of the camera anywhere else online. (I have a very nice Panasonic Lumix and am looking for an additional inexpensive ‘pocket camera’ to carry around.)
Gentlemen — Thanks for your responses. I clicked on your links, but I still don’t see REVIEWS for the FP2.

Amazon has 100+ reviews and they aren’t all that positive.
