which slr camera is the best for recording and photographing in the same time?can u tell me the medium price slr camera with the best quality?

It depends your budget price range. If your budget is on the lower side, then consider Canon 1100D and Nikon D3100. After which you can consider Canon 600D, Canon 60D or Nikon D5100 or Nikon D90.

For Sony Alpha, go for its SLT types like Sony A35, A65 and A77 (order of price and performance)

The above will be good dslr camera bodies and if you have the extra cash, consider getting better lenses and other accessory

How do I know what model of Digital SLR camera to buy?

Thursday, December 22nd, 2011

I’m going to get a Digital SLR camera for my birthday, but there are so many different models! I want a Nikon, and it has to have recording and picture options, good quality, manual focusing, ect. Basically the main functions of SLR cameras. I don’t want it to be too expensive, but also not so inexpensive that there is poor quality or not enough features. I take some photography and I would like to use it for that. Thanks for your help!

Good question. Depending on your level of comfort NIKON has several choices that do both photo and video capture. If you are newer to dslr then a good option might be the NIKON d3100. Does 1080p video with a nice sensor for image capture. While it affords the ahooter with manual capabilities its also equipped with preset modes that you might find helpful.
I personally have the NIKON d300 and bought a NIKON d7000 for my girlfriend. NIKON has an excellent range of glass to select from. Odds are however if you get the kit lens it will do everything you need. As your skills improve you can opt to upgrade glass for better quality images based on composition.

What D SLR camera is the best for a student studying photography?

Tuesday, December 13th, 2011

I’m thinking about a Canon or a Sony D SLR camera as I am familiar with the fuctions. I’m just confused about which one has better performance and technical aspects.

It’s DSLR, no spaces. Digital Single Lens Reflex.

Canon or Nikon would be the best. There are no cameras that would be made for students, and you could’ve helped us more with the budget and things you’d like :)

Canon EOS T3, Nikon D3100 are great for the price ~$500 – $650.

None have better quality or any nonsense as that, it’s more about you.

What is a good cheap digital SLR camera for a beginner?

Sunday, October 30th, 2011

I have $200 for a nice, cheap SLR camera. I want it to be digital and easy to figure out how to use because I am a beginner photographer. I just need it for taking photos of people and clothing for my hand made clothing projects. It doesn’t need to have any crazy settings or a perfect lens. What kind of camera would you suggest? And where would I find one for my price range? Thanks!

The cheapest new DSLR costs $500.

what is the difference between a digital camera and an SLR?

Friday, October 21st, 2011

I’m looking into buying an expensive camera and I noticed for nikon they offer a 12-megapixel digital camera for $100 dollars less then a 10.2-megapixel SLR camera.

Since I am Pretty much a camera newbie and really only know the higher the megapixel the better the picture, so my question is what is the difference between the two that I am missing here.

Which do you believe is the better buy?

There is a massive difference in the quality of photos and video when you compare compacts with fixed lenses (regardless of price or brand) and dSLRs. The main reason is the image sensor size not the pixel count.

You can ignore pixel counts because they don’t mean better quality images. A 10 megapixel compact and a 10 megapixel dSLR are very different. The image sensor in a compact is so small, that it would take 12 or more of them to cover the image sensor in an entry level dSLR.

That larger image sensor has less noise, can take cleaner shots in low light, has better dynamic range, detail, color and contrast when compared to the tiny sensor in a compacts, or the even smaller sensors used in cell phone cams.

You can also get compact-ish cameras with large image sensors like the Sony NEX line, 4/3rds cameras from Olympus and Panasonic and the new 1 series from Nikon like the J1. So you are paying for the image sensor, that’s the big difference.

So if video and photo image quality, speed etc is your top priority go with any kind of camera with a large image sensor. If compact size and low cost are your priority, just get a cheap compact.

What digital SLR camera should I buy?

Thursday, May 12th, 2011

I’m looking for suggestions on what type of digital SLR camera I should buy. I’m a beginner and would mainly be using the camera to shoot pictures of football games but other things too such as everyday pictures or vacation pictures etc. I’ve used both a canon and nikon camera but i’m looking for suggestions on which camera i should start out with and what type of lens i would need to shoot quality pictures at a football game. My price range is no more then 700. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

How long can an slr camera go without charging for?

Monday, May 9th, 2011

I’m just wonderin but how long can an slr camera go without charging for? I’m just borrowing an slr but my friend wasnt able to tell me a lot about using it (just gave me the camera, and cord)
also, the slr camera that I’m using isn’t turning on, does this mean that it needs battery/replacement? It was working before but it didn’t after I used it for 2 weeks.

Most are 500 – 1000 shots with no Live View and no flash. That depends on your model and you could’ve told us. Or is it an SLR and not DSLR?

If it’s an SLR, then the battery can last for a really long time, like more months. What type of battery does it use? If it doesn’t turn on then you need to replace the battery, indeed. Google for your camera and find out what battery it uses.

Should I get SLR camera or a camcorder for film and photography?

Friday, April 29th, 2011

I’m planning on getting a camera, but am not so sure if I should get a SLR or a camcorder. Specifically, what kind of camera should I buy for $900 and lower? I need a camera that is durable, a Canon, Nikon, Sony, has optical zoom, HD, and auto focus. It needs to be able to take good "professional" pictures and videos. Thanks much for all the help!

No idea what medication fhotoace is on, but he hasn’t got a clue about Sony’s as usual…

The Sony A33 and A55 dSLTs absolutely DO have a viewfinder! It is a 100% coverage electronic view finder. They have the fastest auto-focus in video, MUCH faster compared to s-l-o-w Nikon dSLRs. The A33 and A55 are the same as dSLRs, separating them out is silly as they still have a mirror, but it is simply translucent and fixed rather than flipping up.

Nikon aren’t as good as Sony in video (nobody is), fhotoace struggles to recommend them because he doesn’t know anything about them, he is a Nikon guy.

Have a look at the Sony A55, it uses the same SONY sensor as used on the Nikon D7000, a fact that the Nikon boys are always slow to admit to…

If you can put up with manual focus, Canon dSLRs are excellent for video.

What type of digital SLR camera should I buy?

Saturday, January 22nd, 2011

I’ve just recently decided to get into photography, and am saving up to buy a digital SLR camera. I don’t want to completely blow all my money on it and splurge, but I want a nice camera that’ll get the job done. Most of the shots I’m gonna take will be around the small, colonial town I live in .. so either in front of old buildings, in fields, in the woods, etc.

Any suggestions for this rookie photographer? :D
Thanks, guys!

I would buy either a pentax, nikon, or canon. Each will have different offerings and features in your price point and all make good cameras. Go to a store where you can see them all and pick the one you like best. If you go with nikon or canon, buy the 50mm 1.8 or 1.4 lens. You will love it.
