Hi Dave, just a …
Hi Dave, just a question. Are you sure that it was the exposure changing and not the lens aperture? If the lens is for example from F4.0 to F5.6, then wouldn’t the lighting change either way when you zoom in and out? Just wondering, because then the only solution really would be to buy an expensive zoom lens that has a fixed aperture.

The music is called …
The music is called Jaracanda, it is an Apple Loop. As for the quality question, not sure. Maybe it would determine the low light performance more, so well lit scenes should be of equal quality. Anyone else care to answer this one?

like the music at 2:00. What is it?a very usefull set of reviews since there seems to be a shortage of 550D review videos at the moment. If the sensor on the 550D is smaller than the 5D MKII, does that mean that the quality of the high definition video will not be as high on the 550 as the MKII, even on the same 1080p setting?

Yes, I had the IS active on the lens. Also, if you listen carefully on this video you can hear the IS working in the audio. It is only just audible though.

Thanks so much for these review videos Dave, I’m pretty much certain I’ll be upgrading to this from my 450D now. Very interested in the video modes, along with the better screen and wider exposure compensation and ISO ranges.
