What D SLR camera is the best for a student studying photography?

I’m thinking about a Canon or a Sony D SLR camera as I am familiar with the fuctions. I’m just confused about which one has better performance and technical aspects.

It’s DSLR, no spaces. Digital Single Lens Reflex.

Canon or Nikon would be the best. There are no cameras that would be made for students, and you could’ve helped us more with the budget and things you’d like :)

Canon EOS T3, Nikon D3100 are great for the price ~$500 – $650.

None have better quality or any nonsense as that, it’s more about you.

Before you embark on spending you cash, ask one of your tutors for advice after all that’s what they are there for.

I have a Sony Alpha A230L….although it’s discontinued, I really like it as an entry level DSLR. It has a lot of functions that only a DSLR can present, as well as dual memory card formats. The other nice thing is because Sony took over Minolta’s DSLR division, most old Minolta lenses will fit, which means you can acquire excellent pre-owned autofocus lenses for ~$100 on eBay. I’ve never used a Canon, although from what I understand, they have good lenses too. A Sony A230L refurbished goes for about $349, which is not bad. If you like more options, the A390L might suit you.

Both make their own digital sensors. I’ve heard somewhere in this section that Canon is lagging at the moment. Shhhh…
